Painting a model

Hi,  This morning Mason Area Painters had a gorgeous gal named Ellen sit for us.  Ten of the eighteen chose to paint or sketch her.  She is a wonderful model,  such a pretty young gal and she sits very still.  She sat for about 3 hours and here is our result.  I missed a few of the people that left a bit early.

Middletown Pendleton Art Center ~ Barbara Pask

Hi,  Barbara Pask will be our Featured Artist for July in the Middletown Pendleton Art Center.  We are open for First Friday on July 6th from 5-9 and the following day Second look Saturday from 11-3.  Barbara shares the studio with 9 other artists from Mason Area Painters.  Stop by and visit us in studio #109,  such a fun evening with music, food and lots of wonderful art to view and buy.

Art in the Garden

Hi,  It has been a while since we posted,  sorry.  Three of our group did an event in Lebanon Ohio today.  It was a fundraiser and we painted in a garden and displayed some of our art.  It was a good day,  a nice crowd and hot dry weather.  We had a few sales and hopefully made some good contacts.  The first photo shows my set up, Barbara Pask.  The second photo is Don Schuster and the last is Mary Beth Thompson.  See you soon

The Woman's Art Club Show

Hi,  Mason Area Painters was represented well at the 119th annual Woman's Art Club show this year.  The show opened today and will hang for a month.   Frankie Wheeler,  Millie Null and Barbara Pask all had a painting accepted into the show this year.  Frankie was awarded The F&W Media Award, 1yr Watercolor Artist magazine subscription.  Not great photos but here are their paintings,  first is Frankie's watercolor painting, "House with Picket Fence".  Second is Millie's oil painting "Quiet Stream" and last is Barbara's oil painting "A Painting in a Painting".  If they do not sell while the show is up they will be available to purchase, contact me at barbarapask@zoomtown.com for purchase info.

Frankie Wheeler- Featured Artist for December

Hi,  Frankie Wheeler is our Featured Artist for the month of December at the Middletown Pendleton Art Center.  Frankie is a fantastic watercolor artist and has painted and taught for most of her life.  We will be open next Friday December 2nd from 5-9 and the following Saturday 11-3.  Frankie also accepts commissions.  Stop by and check out her work and the work of the other 13 artists she shares the studio with.
