Don Schuster- Featured Artist for September

Don Schuster is our Featured artist this month at the Middletown Pendleton Art Center.  He has a wonderful display on two walls.  The outside wall is a grouping of some of his lily pad paintings and inside a variety of local landscapes.  Opening night is Friday September 2nd from 5-9 and the following day from 11-2.  His art will hang for the whole month of September so stop by and check it out.  The Pendleton is open Monday through Friday so you can view the outside wall or contact Don at Masonareapainters@gmail.com if you would like the studio opened for you.  Thanks!

Featured Artist for August- Pendleton Art Center

Hello,  Of the 20 or so in our group Mason Area Painters 14 of those went together and rented a studio in the Middletown Pendleton Arts Center.  There are three other Pendleton art centers and we are very excited to be a part of it.  We divided the space up into 12 sections and each month we are featuring a different artist or pair of artists.  This Friday night August 4th is "First Friday", we are open every first Friday of the month from 5-9 and the following Saturday from 11-2.  Our featured artist this month is Nancy Stapleton, here is a photo of her and some of her work,  she has paintings hanging on the inside of this wall also.  Stop by if you are in the Middletown area , we would love to meet you.

Painting Still Lifes at the Snyder House

Hi,  Our group are all members of the Mason Deerfield Arts Alliance and we are fortunate to paint in a beautiful old home on Monday mornings.  The Arts Council has their office in the house also and they rent the house out for special occasions.   Today was a fun day at the Snyder House.  We set up several different still lifes and some of us painted those.  Several of the group worked on their own projects.  Normally we kind of crowd into one room because after all we enjoy each others company.  Today we spread out throughout the house, gave us a bit more room.  There were 15 people there this morning of our group of 21.  My name is Barbara Pask and I am chairperson for Mason Area Painters and I love being a part of this group.  I know how lucky we are to  be involved in a group like this to share ideas and information.   Happy Painting

Opening at the Pendleton

Hi Everyone!  This past Friday night was the grand opening at the Middletown Pendleton Art Center,  Saturday was Second Look Saturday.  We had a huge crowd,  it was a fun night.   Our gallery consists of the artwork of 14 members of Mason Area Painters.  We sold 9 paintings total for Friday and Saturday so I think it was a great success.  One of our members also received two possible commissions.  So we are off to a wonderful start.  We will be open every first Friday of the month and a few hours on the following Saturday.  We also will be open for any special events that Middletown has,  we will let you know about those.  Here are a few photos of our new gallery,  we divided it up with three walls going to 13 artists and the front wall will change out monthly with a different featured artist.

Inaugural Post

We are kicking off this new site with the flier for the Mason Area Painters First Friday at the Pendleton Art Center- Middletown. Our new studio space at the PAC, #109, will be open from 5:00-9:00P this Friday, May 6 and for Second Look Saturday, 11:00A-2:00P on May 7.
